The support of this successful modification program is the result of that increased focus and direction.
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) July 9, 2008
Evergreen Maintenance Center Inc. (EMC), the world's largest commercial aircraft maintenance, paint, and storage facility, recently completed extensive modifications to the next DC-10 slated for revenue as their support continues on the new classic and next generation aircraft.
"World Airways' DC-10 aircraft repair program was an important challenge for our company and we deem it a success on several levels," remarks Fraser Burns, Director of Heavy Maintenance Planning at World Airways. "Jack Keating's leadership at Evergreen Maintenance Center has turned the organization into a successful Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) that is focused on their customers and accountability. This is a rare combination in today's environment and it is because of their support that we look forward to partnering with them as we move forward with our fleet expansion."
Dedicating more than 40,000 man hours to support today's aircraft modification programs is an important investment when considering fleet growth. "As a reflection, the focus of our MRO facilities in Arizona for the past three years has been on the expansion of our aircraft maintenance capabilities, flight line solutions, and customer support efforts," states Lou Moore, Director of Flight Line Maintenance at EMC. "The support of this successful modification program is the result of that increased focus and direction."
"Evergreen Maintenance Center is continuing to build on our classic knowledge base with solid customers that support aircraft transporting military troops, along with many other transportation services," adds Steve Coffaro, Vice President of Marketing, Sales & Customer Service at EMC. "As customers like World Airways grow, we continue to 'spread our wings' across the classics: Boeing 727, 737, 747, and McDonnell Douglas family, together with the new classics: Boeing 757, 767, and 777 that also compliment our support of the next generation aircraft which includes the environmentally sound Boeing 787 by virtue of our role in the Dreamlifter program."
