Clearview Staffing Software released new nationally validated competency tests and skills checklists for Home Health, Nursing and Social Work with its release of RSS 3.7.1 earlier this month. This content expands the existing library of tests and checklists already included in RSS.
RSS is Clearview's web-based software solution for recruiting and qualifying medical professionals. The software includes online employment application, skills checklist and competency testing features.
"The addition of the new tests and skills checklists is a reflection of our commitment to meeting the specific needs of our customers," said David Gorman, Clearview Staffing Software President. Clearview has added 20 new competency tests and skills checklists. The topics include: Advance Directives, Complaints and Grievances, Color Vision, OSHA, Home Health for RN, LVN and CNA, Nursing Sitter, Adverse Drug Reactions and Drug Therapy Monitoring, Substance Abuse, Wound Care, Social Worker, Clinic Nurse, Long Term Care, and Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
"Our existing test and checklist bank already covered the most relevant and used topics," Gorman said. "However, we will continue to talk with our customers about their needs and grow our library of content based on their input and what is relevant in the industry."
In May of this year, Clearview launched RSS 3.7 which included competency testing and skills assessment content that was created and validated by a Clinical Advisory Board as part of Clearview's National Validation Program. This board includes clinical experts led by Tammy Barben, RN, MSN.
"The goal in bringing in Tammy and her team was to have a group of experienced, advanced degreed professionals who understand what is needed to properly assess clinical proficiency, and who are capable of developing content that is relevant by today's healthcare standards," Gorman said.
Clearview's Clinical Advisory Board includes professionals and educators from various areas of nursing including: Med/Surg, Critical Care, Cardiology, Emergency Room and Flight Nursing, Infection Control, Quality Control and Risk Management, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Surgical Services, Psychiatric and other Nursing specialties.
The nationally validated competency tests and skills checklists added in RSS 3.7.1 include Home Health and Social Work assessments and skills checklists, as well as additional Nursing assessments and checklists. The complete list of assessment and skills checklist areas also includes: Core Competency, Patient Safety Goals, Nursing, Imaging, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy, Rehab, Respiratory, and Clinical Support Technician.
