Scotsman Guide Wins International Journalism Awards for Second-Straight Year
TABPI recognized the national mortgage magazine with design and editorial awards
Bothell, WA (PRWEB) July 11, 2008 -- Scotsman Guide, the leading resource for mortgage originators, has announced that it recently won two awards in the Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI) fifth-annual editorial and design competition.
For the second year in a row, Scotsman Guide received Tabbie Award recognition in TABPI's Best Department and Best Opening Page or Spread categories.
The Department honorable-mention award was given to Scotsman Guide's Spotlight, a monthly department that analyzes mortgage industry and real estate trends in a city or regional market. Scotsman Guide associate editor Ivanna C. Sukkar and 2007 editorial intern Kirsten Terry penned the award-winning pieces for Scotsman Guide's April and October 2007 residential editions, respectively.
The award-winning spread, placing fourth, appeared with the article "Doing Business in the Information Age," by Kim Daugherty of KC Capital, on technological advances that benefit the mortgage industry. The article appeared in Scotsman Guide's March 2007 commercial edition. Scotsman Guide senior designer Deborah Richardson designed the spread, which included an illustration by contributing illustrator Keith Negley.
