MYTH: Reign of the Immortals, the first book of an epic trilogy by Jonathan Nickens, aims to inspire readers as they journey through realms of uncharted mythological landscape.

"MYTH explains how reality, and imagination, are created in the universe as a unified force we call harmony," says Nickens. "How then these two 'realms' of existence become separated, and finally why all things physically exist in reality, as opposed to imagination.

MYTH was born from Nickens' college final in a mythology course - to create an original myth, using the elements he had learned. The completed story was five pages, double-spaced. Six months later, as Nickens' passion for his original 'myth' grew, the story had expanded to 50 pages. "Now, 14 years later, it spans 750 pages, spread over three volumes," Nickens says. "All from those first five double-spaced pages."

MYTH begins with a young goddess, her love torn by deception, preparing the stage for an intense struggle of good against evil. In book 1, MYTH: Reign of the Immortals, a hero's quest to find that lost love begins as he is given the eyes of the Almighty to witness and narrate an eons-old message of hope. This series combines elements of over two-dozen cultural mythologies, blended with science fiction, wedding them both to Biblical premises to begin this electrifying three book saga.

Published by the Denver-based Outskirts Press, MYTH: Reign of the Immortals is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.com's for a price of $17.95. More information about ordering the book is also available at:

"The world is much too negative," says Nickens. "My dream is to see this book positively influence everyone who reads it, making their lives better by understanding the stages of how this pessimistic, and potentially harmful, attitude matures."
