Henley-Putnam University Sponsors Teleconference on 'Aviation Security' on July 17

Henley-Putnam University will be sponsoring a teleconference on "Aviation Security," given by Mike Price, DEA Supervisor and pilot with the South Florida Aviation Division.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) July 15, 2008 -- On Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 10 A.M. (PT), Henley-Putnam University will be sponsoring a teleconference on "Aviation Security," given by Mike Price, DEA Supervisor and pilot with the South Florida Aviation Division.

The teleconference will include topics such as:

 
  • Seven Essentials of an Aviation Security Program, including:
o   Plan development, including developing a security culture and mindset
o   Roles and Responsibilities, including identification of tasks and proper authority
o   Intelligence gathering and monitoring

 
  • 10 Business secrets to success, applied to Aviation Security Program Managers, including:
o   How to develop clear and measurable goals
o   How to communicate most effectively across the program
o   Learning from the mistakes of others
There will be a brief Question & Answer session following the seminar.

About the Presenter:
Michael Price is the Resident Agent in Charge Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Aviation Unit in south Florida. Price has been in the law enforcement arena for the past 33 years, including 20 years as an aviation security professional with an excess of 7000 multi-engine fixwing and helicopter flight hours. His primary area of responsibility is the State of Florida and the Caribbean. He is currently the senior manager of 20 technically enriched aircraft, 30 DEA/contract pilots, and a stakeholder for our worldwide aviation program. He serves on the upper-level management team that oversees the worldwide aviation resource of 125 pilots and over 100 complex aircraft supporting 57 foreign DEA offices.
