Travel Channel Shines National Spotlight On Family Kingdom Amusement Park

Family Kingdom Featured During Show Profiling Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Myrtle Beach, SC (PRWEB) July 17, 2008 -- Family Kingdom Amusement Park was recently featured on the Travel Channel during a show profiling Myrtle Beach, S.C., and The Grand Strand.

"Passport To Great Weekends" spotlighted attractions and locations up and down the 60 miles that make up the Grand Strand and show host Samantha Brown capped off her weekend with a stop at Family Kingdom, where she said, "wonderful old wooden carousels, roller coasters and cotton candy are all in plentiful supply." In an online report following the filming of the show, Brown named riding the swings at Family Kingdom as one of the "top five" things she did while in Myrtle Beach.

Located on Ocean Boulevard in the heart of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Family Kingdom is the area's only seaside amusement park and has been entertaining families for more than 40 years. Home of the legendary Swamp Fox wooden roller coaster, the largest Ferris wheel in the state of South Carolina and over thirty other great rides and attractions for all ages, Family Kingdom Amusement Park offers a complete amusement park experience with midway games, family entertainment and traditional park temptations such as funnel cakes, cotton candy and corndogs.

"We are thrilled to have Family Kingdom featured on The Travel Channel," said Leigh Meese, president of Family Kingdom Amusement Park. "We hope the exposure the area and our park received from this nationally televised program will entice visitors who have never been to the Grand Strand to give us a try on their next vacation."
