Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club Offers The "Gourmet Golf Package"

Award Winning Amenities Await Visitors All Summer Long

Pawleys Island, S.C. (PRWEB) July 21, 2008 -- Pawleys Plantation in Pawleys Island, S.C., is offering the "Gourmet Golf Package" through September 3, 2008. The package combines spacious accommodations, golf on Pawleys Plantation's award-winning Jack Nicklaus-designed course and award-winning cuisine.

The two-night "Gourmet Golf Package" is $219 per person, double occupancy. It includes a luxurious one-bedroom suite in one of Pawleys Plantation's Weehawka Woods villas, one round of golf on Pawleys Plantation's Jack Nicklaus course, one free replay, two plantation breakfasts, and dinner for two in the Sawgrass Room. Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday check-in is required. Taxes and service charges are not included. Quad occupancy is $199 per person.

Dinners are prepared by Executive Chef Ernest Bledsoe, who trained along side celebrity Chef Oliver Saucy at Cafe Maxx, a prestigious 4-star restaurant in Pompano Beach, Fla. In November, he competed with more than 25 chefs to win the top honor of "The People's Choice Award." He was also named "Grand Champion" at a competition of Southeastern chefs.

"We created this package to appeal to the most discriminating golfer," said Jann Walker, director of marketing at Pawleys Plantation. "Our golf course offers extraordinary views, creating a memorable experience. After a round of golf, there is no better way to end the day then to relax and enjoy an evening in our Sawgrass Dining Room, where guests can enjoy a fabulous gourmet dinner prepared by our award-winning chef."
