Back-to-School Shopping Isn't Just For Kids Anymore

62% of moms say they maximize time at the mall for their fall fashion too!

Merriam, KS (PRWEB) July 18, 2008 -- Parents across the country are gearing up for back-to-school shopping season, but according to a recent Lee Jeans poll on Lee.com, it's not all about the kids. Lee Jeans found that 62% of women say back-to-school shopping is the best time to pick up clothes for themselves and check out what's hot for fall. Lee Jeans® trend expert Rachelle Moley has tips and trends to make jean shopping a quick stop.

"A must have fall trend is a super dark and clean jean. An ultra slim bootcut is flattering to any figure," said Moley. "The key to this jean is a blackened indigo color with no handsanding and a fabric with a higher amount of stretch like the Lee Jeans® Slender Secret that has twice as much stretch as regular denim. The extra stretch helps slim and shape the tummy and thigh area, resulting in a sleek and chic silhouette."

Denim trousers are another hot fashion basic for fall. Clean, dark, tailored denim creates a jean that is dressy enough for work but comfortable for everyday. Lee's Jessica Trouser steps up this trend with a No-Gap waistband designed to help eliminate "muffin top" by giving extra stretch around the waist.

Raw denim will be a fashion staple this fall as well. Typically, denim is washed anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes to get a soft worn-in jean and can include being washed with stones and bleach to create extra wear on the fabric. Moley says that is not the case for this season.

"Raw denim means not much is done to the denim before the jean is finished," Moley explained. "The fabric is used after weaving and minimal washing takes place. Lee will introduce the key look through the debut of a premium bootcut in raw denim available this fall in stores and at Lee.com."

Another big trend for a busy mom who wants to look nice with minimal effort is the No-Iron Pant. Rather than just a protective coating on the outside of the fabric, which many products use, Lee's No-Iron technology is achieved when the fabric is made from XLA yarn then the no-iron technology is applied on top of the fabric, giving the pants longer-lasting results.
