The reThinking eHealth series provides insight and information including current trends in healthcare Information Technology that impact patients and providers. The Webinars are based on real client experiences solving some of the most difficult problems found in virtually every healthcare organization. For this Webinar, Tanenbaum will discuss a challenge that many hospitals are facing today, whether or not to incorporate a PHR into their Web strategy. She will discuss MedStar's experience integrating Microsoft's HealthVault into their patient portal, the results the organization wanted to achieve for this project, how MedStar went about overcoming the challenges they faced during implementation and the lessons learned along the way.

Rich Grehalva, MEDSEEK's Senior VP of Professional Services understands the importance of discussing the PHR issue. "The introduction of Microsoft's HealthVault and Google Health has created awareness among consumers who are seeking a more hands-on approach to managing their personal health. The key to a PHR is a patient portal.
