Recently launched Vote and Sport interactive communities gain big traction with leading publishers like Declare Yourself, 18in08, CBS Sports, and Fox Sports participating

Spleak brings the discussion straight to the places where young voters spend a majority of their time online and enables them to have their voices heard.

Spleak Media Network, a startup based in San Francisco, CA launched StyleSpleak, TVSpleak, and GameSpleak today, growing to six their portfolio of themed interactive content communities. Fans of celebrities, politics, sports, fashion, gaming and television can now read, rate, and create great content via instant messaging platforms (AIM, MSN Messenger, & Google Talk), social networks (Facebook, MySpace, & Piczo), destination sites, and mobile phones.

Spleak launched their first community, CelebSpleak, in 2007 - every day, over 100,000 celeb enthusiasts turn to CelebSpleak to gossip with other fans about their favorite celebrities. In the SportSpleak community, launched in May 2008, a content item (a "SmackTalk") posted recently by a user was rated by over 20,000 sports fans in just 12 hours. With the election approaching, VoteSpleak, also launched in May 2008, has a thriving community debating political and social issues like the upcoming election, the environment, and human rights.

For each themed community, Spleak Media Network partners with mainstream publishers to share content alongside the contributions provided by users. All content from mainstream publishers and users is short-form, 250 characters or less, making it quick and fun to consume and publish. Spleak content publishers include Hearst Digital Media (CosmoGirl, Seventeen Magazine, Teen Magazine, eSpin), DeclareYourself, 18in'08, CBS Sports, Fox Sports, Yardbarker, and others.

"It's imperative to engage the newest generation of voters in the political process with every means at our disposal," said Marc Morgenstern, Executive Director of Declare Yourself. "Spleak brings the discussion straight to the places where young voters spend a majority of their time online and enables them to have their voices heard."

"Spleak Media is leading the way in bringing engaging, content-rich applications to the AIM platform, said Shane Gau, Program Director, AIM Bots. "We're excited that Spleak has added Fashion, Games, and TV-focused communities that closely align with the interests of our tens of millions of monthly users."
