Benz Communications was recently honored as Gold winner of the Hermes Creative Awards 2008 and recipient of two Awards of Distinction in the 2008 Communicator Awards for Intuit's 2007 Benefits Communications Campaign.

Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative marketing and communications professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. It is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). More than 4,000 entries were received from throughout the United States and other countries.

The communications agency has also received two Awards of Distinction in the 2008 Communicator Awards from the International Academy of the Visual Arts and the Communicator Awards. The Communicator Award is awarded to the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work in print, video, interactive and audio and represents communications excellence.

The winning entry, Intuit's 2007 Benefits Communications Campaign, consisted of an integrated marketing communications campaign and focused on the "Intuit People Experience." Intuit Inc. is a leading provider of business and financial management solutions for small and mid-sized businesses; financial institutions, including banks and credit unions; consumers and accounting professionals. Its flagship products and services include QuickBooks®, Quicken® and TurboTax® software. Intuit has been on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For list for the last seven years.

The campaign included creating a new benefits Web site as well as a comprehensive print campaign. The Web site provided a new interactive resource for employees and families, and also is a long-term cost-saving alternative to traditional printed materials.

"Winning these prestigious communications awards is quite an honor for us," said Jennifer Benz, Chief Communications Strategist. "Intuit is extremely focused on supporting their employees in the areas of health and wellness and we are delighted to work with them to engage their employees in their benefits."

The company was also recently named a finalist in the 2008 IABC Gold Quill Blue Ribbon contest. The Gold Quill Awards contest is administered by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and is judged on creative and innovative work that addresses the needs of its audience.
