Music Software Popularity Index - 2008 Q2

Digital Music Doctor announces the results of the Music Software Internet Popularity Index for Second Quarter 2008. During this period the top six products - Pro Tools, Cubase, FL Studio, Sonar, Logic, and GarageBand - maintained the same rankings as in the first quarter of this year. Digital Performer moved up one notch and Ableton Live advanced three positions, pushing Band-in-a-Box out of the top ten. Adobe Audition continues its downward movement and has now dropped to tenth place, down from fifth place a year ago.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 22, 2008 -- Digital Music Doctor announces the results of the Music Software Internet Popularity Index for Second Quarter 2008. During this period the top six products - Pro Tools, Cubase, FL Studio, Sonar, Logic, and GarageBand - maintained the same rankings as in the first quarter of this year. This index is based on quarterly Internet search activity on Google, Yahoo, AOL and MSN. Collectively these 4 search engines represent more than 95 percent of the searches on the Internet. Over 100 search terms are used to construct this index, and 15 music software products are tracked. An annual average of the past four quarters is also included for comparison.
