WorldatWork 2008 Research Grant Awarded to Next Generation Consulting

After a highly competitive application process, WorldatWork has selected Next Generation Consulting (NGC) as the only recipient of the WorldatWork 2008 Research Grant.

Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) July 23, 2008 -- After a highly competitive application process, WorldatWork has selected Next Generation Consulting (NGC) as the only recipient of the WorldatWork 2008 Research Grant.

Principal investigators Rebecca Ryan, Marti, Margaret Leaf, and Peg Hartmann were awarded the grant to pursue their research project titled, “Total Rewards at Every Stage: Integrating Life Stage into the WorldatWork Total Rewards Model.” The project theorizes that employees choose and prioritize different components of Total Rewards according to their life stage and employment priorities and, by understanding this, HR practitioners can fashion a more customized and meaningful Total Rewards package, thereby increasing their odds of attracting and retaining talented employees.

“We are very excited to fund Next Generation’s research,” said Ryan Johnson, CCP, director of information development for WorldatWork. “The results of their project will undoubtedly lead to a greater understanding of the Total Rewards model and make it even more applicable to HR practitioners in the field.” Rebecca Ryan of NGC added, “WorldatWork shares our vision of helping good workplaces become great. Our team is thrilled with this opportunity, because it advances the Total Rewards model and our own work in understanding employee engagement.”
