The Durham airport parking has introduced a handy online booking feature which allows travellers to pre-book a car parking space before they fly, with savings of up to 35% on offer compared to the standard tariff.

Durham international airport has also introduced a variety of options for car park booking, recognising that no two travellers are the same. Those pre-booking online at least ten days in advance of departure receive the full discount of 35%; for those whose trip is more of a quick getaway, booking online between two to nine days in advance of travel entitles travellers to some great savings too. Only a £2.50 booking fee is applied for those booking online, and unlike some airports no extra charges are incurred for using a credit or debit card.

The car park at Durham Tees Valley Airport has been designed to give travellers peace of mind as they relax in the sun. Surrounded by high security fencing, it is continuously monitored by CCTV and is located just in front of the main terminal building. Also Durham airport car parking has bays reserved for disabled access and, for the seasoned traveller, the option to buy a season ticket for a minimum six month period which gives seamless, unlimited access to the car park around the clock.

Durham Tees Valley Airport began life as an RAF station during the Second World War, and was opened as a commercial airport in 1966. Over the last four decades the airport has expanded to fulfil the diverse needs of the northeast and the surrounding area. Considerable investment by Peel Holdings since 2001 has seen the airport acquire a whole range of modern features including a dedicated access road, improvements to the terminal building and improved car parking facilities. It now offers travellers access to a variety of exotic locations including Barcelona, Faro and Tenerife and is home to a host of leading international airlines and tour operators.
