Elgin, IL (PRWEB) July 25, 2008
The 10th annual Elgin Duck Pluck (http://www.elginducks.com) will be held September 6, 2008 from Noon till 10:30 p.m. at Festival Park in downtown Elgin. This is the second year that the Duck Pluck has taken this form. Previously, the event was a duck race where thousands of ducks were let loose in the Fox River. The Elgin Duck Pluck now involves dumping thousands of plastic ducks in the new Festival Park fountain. Instead of waiting for the ducks to float to the finish line, local children now rush in and pluck individual ducks to determine the winners.
