Elex Technologies Receives United States Patent for Evaluating Hyperdocuments with Neural Networks

ElexTek receives United States Patent for analyzing hyperdocument images and blocking websites, a technology developed for the software product Photo No-No.

Elex Technologies, Inc. (ElexTek), a Houston, Texas based software solutions and consulting company, announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued ElexTek's neural network patent for evaluating hyperdocuments. The US Patent numbered 7,403,929 is entitled "Apparatus and methods for evaluating hyperdocuments using a trained artificial neural network."

The patent is for technology developed by ElexTek for use in its flagship product, Photo No-No. This unique software protects children and families from adult images on the Internet by blocking such images before they appear on a computer screen. The market for this revolutionary software product, and for other software developed by ElexTek, is worldwide home computer users, corporations, libraries, schools and other institutions. It has been featured in reviews by Houston Business Review, the Houston based business news site on the Internet, and by PC Home Magazine, the UK based computer how-to publication.

In addition to its popular software products, ElexTek recently expanded its high-tech services into premium web hosting, low-cost domain name packages, SSL certificates, and other Internet services such as free email, spam blocking, e-commerce solutions, and online file folders.
