eCampus and PangeAir, the Digital Airline Service, launch new facility in Dayton

First PangeAir franchise opens in Dayton Convention Center in Ohio.

Dayton, Ohio (PRWEB) July 24, 2008 -- On Friday, July 18, PangeAir, the Digital Airline Service, together with eCampus, celebrated the much anticipated grand opening of their first franchise at the Dayton Convention Center. Local and state government officials, television media and the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce gathered for the unveiling of a newly available public-access video communications and media solution, known as Dayton's PangeAir Gateway.

The PangeAir telepresence solution is available for colleges and universities to be able to provide distant education and training opportunities for their students through instructor-led classes. Participants can interact and share data with one another through video on the two high-definition 65-inch LCD monitors, thus eliminating expensive, time-consuming and exhausting physical travel. Up to 25 people can join a class from inside the state-of-the-art suite in the Dayton Convention Center, and communicate with multiple locations as though they are face-to-face.

The concept for eCampus comes at a time when there doesn't seem to be an end in site to the ever-increasing gas prices plaguing the nation. Utilizing telepresence technology, they can bring the classroom to the student when the student can't get to the classroom. eCampus's goal is to deploy facilities to every county seat in the nation, so each citizen can have multiple universities to choose from right in their hometown. Students can benefit from university curriculum without having to travel beyond their city limits.

PangeAir is a franchisor that has identified potential audiences who could benefit from public access video communications suites, from corporations to universities, healthcare to law. Foreseeing an opportunity to create face-to-face interaction without the need for travel, they understood that telepresence technology had endless applications. "Dayton is the birthplace of aviation and this is the beginning of a brand new business and education travel venue, the launch of a digital aviation gateway," said David Allen, chairman of PangeAir.
