Dayton, Ohio (PRWEB) July 24, 2008
On Friday, July 18, PangeAir, the Digital Airline Service, together with Iformata Communications, celebrated the much anticipated grand opening of their first franchise at the Dayton Convention Center. Local & State government officials, television media and the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce gathered to experience a newly available public-access video communications and media solution, known as Dayton's PangeAir Gateway.
The PangeAir telepresence solution is available to rent for the purpose of hosting or attending meetings, facilitating civic events, educational classes and training seminars. Participants can interact and share data with one another through video on the two high-definition 65-inch LCD monitors. Up to 25 people can join a meeting from inside the state-of-the-art suite in the Dayton Convention Center, and communicate with multiple sites as though they are face-to-face. According to Bob Briggs, CEO of Indianapolis-based PangeAir, "Businesses and organizations can bring together distant employees, executives and clients without the challenges of long distance travel in an environment that can best be described as interactive high-definition TV."
Iformata has been selected by PangeAir as the managed service and network provider of all their new franchises. "We are tremendously excited to be involved with PangeAir and to support their initial voyage into the world of public-access telepresence. This is truly the beginning of the future", states Iformata Executive Vice President, Brian Kinne. Essentially, all that would be required of the end-user is to show up and begin the meeting, while unseen meeting producers work remotely to yield a successful result. Iformata acts as the person behind the curtain, ensuring that the customer's meeting experience goes smoothly. "Our strategy is to help entities like PangeAir by building the necessary service based tools which enable them to succeed. Moments like today continues to validate the power of Iformata in this industry", added Kinne.
Iformata Communications, a privately held company, is the industry's longest serving Telepresence service provider for Global 100 and 1000 companies around the world. With offices in the United States, Europe, and India and customers in 37 countries, they continue to push the envelope of video communications service levels.
