SPENDonLIFE.com is proud to announce the five well-deserving winners of its 2008 scholarship program. The scholarship awards are for students rejected for a student loan because of negative credit. It is our deeply held philosophy is that anyone who desires an education should be able to obtain one, regardless of their credit history.

To that end, we extended a unique opportunity to students rejected for a student loan because of negative credit. After reviewing over 800 scholarship applications, the staff of SPENDonLIFE is proud to announce the following winners of our scholarship program:

We congratulate these talented students and commend them for their drive to succeed. The recent subprime crash has negatively impacted students relying on college loans. Today, not only are subprime borrowers finding roadblocks, but all student borrowers are now subject to stricter lending practices: Higher credit scores are required to secure student loans; and higher interest rates are routinely attached to those loans.
Although SPENDonLIFE is striving to combat the student credit crunch through its annual scholarship program, with over 17 million students enrolled in colleges and universities throughout the United States, it is impossible for us to reach them all.
