Benjamin-Beechwood Hosts Block Party at Arverne By The Sea
Benjamin-Beechwood showcased it's award-winning 2300-unit, $500 million Smart Growth Community, Arverne by the Sea, in the Rockaways on New York's Queens/Nassau border, on July 19th with a block party and fund raiser for New York City's 100th Precint Community Council.
(PRWEB) July 27, 2008 -- Benjamin Beechwood, LLC, showcased its award-winning 2300-unit, $500 million Smart Growth Community, Arverne by the Sea, in the Rockaways on New York's Queens/Nassau border, on July 19th with a block party and fund raiser for New York City's 100th Precinct Community Council.
Assemblywoman Audrey Pfeffer and representatives from the offices of Senator Malcolm Smith and Council Member James Sanders celebrated along with homeowners from The Breakers, The Sands, Palmer's Landing and Ocean Breeze, neighborhoods of Arverne by the Sea. They were joined by enthusiastic future homeowners. The day's activities included a barbecue, freshly-popped popcorn and cotton candy machines, face painting and balloon animals for the kids, as well as DJ-provided music, a limbo contest, games and party favor giveaways. Eager purchasers and guests toured the models and mingled with the ecstatic homeowners.
Arverne by the Sea, a joint venture of The Beechwood Organization and The Benjamin Companies, two major local real estate developers, is set on 127 acres. The community's mix of upscale, contemporary condominium units and two-family homes is enhanced by the adjacent ocean and boardwalk, water taxi service to Manhattan and a planned retail shopping center and recreational facilities. The project is slated for completion in 2010.
