The World's Best Barbecue Since 1950®
Brentwood, TN (PRWEB) July 27, 2008
Nashville, TN has long been known for its great food and unique restaurants so when Nashville-based newspaper The Tennessean set up its inaugural reader's choice awards, "Toast of Music City" it was a good bet that the Food category would be one of the most hotly-contested among all categories.
Bar-B-Cutie won the most categories among all nominated entries. Bar-B-Cutie won first place for Best Barbecue, first place for Best Meal Deal and first place for Best Restaurant Overall.
Bar-B-Cutie President and CEO Ronnie McFarland attended the awards gala and commented, "We are so grateful to have been recognized by the people of Nashville and beyond in such an overwhelming way. We have always felt that our Barbecue can compete with any around and we strive to consistently offer value to our customers but winning Best Restaurant Overall was a bit of a surprise. I want to personally thank all of our loyal customers that voted for us and The Tennessean for putting on such a great promotion."
The inaugural "Toast of Music City" Awards consisted of over 1,400 businesses nominated by the public comprising 140 categories. A total of 175,803 votes were cast throughout the promotion.
