San Francisco based electronic band Karmacoda has released the highly-anticipated music video for Make Like Mine, the third single from the groups recent CD Illuminate. The new song features strong hooks, melodies and an engaging evolution of their groove-laden electronic sound. Illuminate was tracked and mixed in the band's San Francisco-based Sola Musa Studio by member and producer/mixer Brett Crockett.
The new video reunites the band with Brazilian animator and director Luis Otavio Feldens and producer John Vasicek (both of whom worked with the group on their second video for the song Skylines). The video features a stunning combination of digital still photography high definition, full-motion video and surreal animation
Inspiration for the video came from a visit to the Golden Gate Conservatory of Flowers by band member B. who took hundreds of photos that were incorporated into the video. The band was then filmed performing against green screen using high-definition digital video. Feldens then took the still and video elements and constructed a surreal forest-jungle in which the band interacts with the flora and fauna.
Born in Brazil, where he currently resides, Feldens works on various animation and film projects. John Vasicek, was the director of the independent film Voyeur for which Karmacoda wrote the soundtrack in 2006.
Karmacoda render human issues through the electronic medium, creating music to reflect the emotion of a specific time and space in our modern world. Karmacoda is Heather Pierce - lead vocals, Brett "B." Crockett -guitar / vocals / keyboards, Eric Matsuno - bass and Rafael Acevedo - DJ.
