BTI Systems, a global supplier of intelligent Packet Optical Edge solutions for the delivery of multiprotocol services in today's gigabit world, announced today that it is growing its leadership team as the company strives to become the foremost provider of revenue-generating networking technologies for the Edge. The company has promoted its Senior Vice President of Operations, John Haydon, to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer in addition to welcoming industry veteran, Neil Ferris to its Board of Directors as an independent member.

"Technology innovation is founded in collaboration," said Gregory Koss, Chairman and CEO, BTI Systems. "John and Neil bring tremendous value to BTI by offering their extensive expertise in putting companies through the paces on their path to market leadership."

John Haydon, who joined BTI in January 2008 as the Senior Vice President of Global Operations, has spent the last seven months working closely with the executive team to build the company's infrastructure to support the needs of its customers, partners and global team. With more than 25 years of experience driving growth and innovation within areas of operations, customer service, and supply chain management, John will support the next phase of BTI's global expansion in Europe, Asia and Africa.

An expert in developing technology start-ups, Neil Ferris joins BTI's Board of Directors and will contribute to the overall strategic development of the company's market expansion. Neil was the founder and CEO at Fluent, leading the company through to acquisition by Novell. In addition, Neil positioned Giganet for an estimated $650-million acquisition by Emulex Corporation. Ideally positioned to become the leading provider of small-form factor, low-cost, environmentally friendly networking solutions for the delivery of high-bandwidth services, BTI will capitalize on Neil's experience helping companies mature.

"BTI has built an excellent team of industry leaders and forward-thinking individuals across its entire organization," said Neil Ferris. "I am looking forward to working with the team as we expand the company's footprint and capitalize on the demand for innovative HD Video and 4G Wireless Backhaul solutions in the market."
