Meeting planners are asking if a speaker's message clicks with their audience and their program objectives
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 29, 2008
The Speakers Group, a speakers bureau headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, kicks off their "In the Spotlight" interview series today with a session with Keith Ferrazzi, author of the bestseller, Never Eat Alone. The "In the Spotlight" Q&A sessions are designed especially for the benefit of meeting planners and organizational leaders who utilize keynote speakers and gurus to anchor their important meetings and conferences.
"Meeting planners are asking if a speaker's message clicks with their audience and their program objectives," according to Shawn Ellis, founder and president of The Speakers Group, "and organizational leaders are asking if a speaker's expertise and approach fit with their internal initiatives to boost business performance. We conduct these interviews with a goal of helping to answer those questions."
The first interview with Ferrazzi, for example, spotlights his expertise in the realm of building relationships and leveraging those relationships for business success. Topics addressed in the conversation include how networking differs from relationship building, how intimacy relates to business, and how relationships can help a business in a slower economy. The reader also gains insight into Ferrazzi's personal world, as he talks about his own reading list and what drives him after already achieving tremendous success at a young age.
Unlike demo videos and other materials which serve to showcase a speaker's capabilities but have little or no valuable content beyond that purpose, the "In the Spotlight" interviews are intended to deliver standalone value to the reader, which, in turn, highlights the interviewee's capabilities as a natural byproduct.
Installments of "In the Spotlight" will feature a variety of today's most in-demand thought leaders and gurus, along with a mix of lesser known, up-and-coming business speakers and authors. Following Ferrazzi, for example, will be Pete Luongo, former CEO of The Berry Company and author of the 2007 release, 10 Truths About Leadership.
Part one of the two-part interview with Ferrazzi is available today on The Speakers Group's web site at http://www.thespeakersgroup.com/blog. Part two will be posted next week, with the Luongo session following later in August.
