RE: Next Generation In Environment Friendly Products…The Art You'll Love To Touch

Is it possible to enjoy romance while doing something for the environment? Wendy Mitchell, owner of the web site Pick Your Pleasure Poison, says yes with a new product called the Jildo. It's a phallus unlike many others produced today, because it's made of wood.

West Berlin, N.J. (PRWEB) July 30, 2008 -- Is it possible to enjoy romance while doing something for the environment? Wendy Mitchell, owner of the web site Pick Your Pleasure Poison, says yes with a new product called the Jildo. It's a phallus unlike many others produced today, because it's made of wood.

"Wood phalluses are far from a new concept. Their origins go back centuries," Mitchell explains. "But with the world becoming more eco-friendly, some people are looking for an alternative to PVC and this product is the perfect alternative. Plus, you can even pick the type of wood like cherry, maple and so on."

Handcrafted, the phalluses are made with wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The FSC ensures that any supplies of wood come from renewable resources, and not from endangered areas like rainforests. In fact, its makers only contract with sources that manage forests as a renewable cash crop. So not only is the wood eco-friendly, the company that makes these all-natural exotic toys also help provide jobs to the often poverty-stricken areas like the American Appalachians.

"Customers who buy this item at Pick Your Pleasure Poison love it. Before that point though, the biggest question we're asked is if it causes splinters," laughs Mitchell.

She goes on to explain how it goes through twelve levels of sanding, finishing, and polishing for a flawless look. After that, it's coated with a smooth, food-safe finish that makes it cleanable.

"Many people think if it's not plastic, then it's not sanitary. But the truth is, with proper care and use, this product is actually safer on many levels, except for people with a wood allergy, of course," says Mitchell. "It's important to note though, that the rules of sexual safety still apply. Barring that, the product itself is quite durable and safe."

The added bonus, says Mitchell, is they're more than just a marital aid. They're also very artistic and lovely in appearance.

"That's something you don't see with PVC phalluses today. These wood phalluses come in various shapes and designs, since the wood can be sculpted. That makes them quite aesthetically pleasing and truly…works of art."
