iPoker's Satellite Series to the PokerNews Cup Australia Finalised

Following a successful satellite series to the inaugural PokerNews Cup in 1997, iPoker have once again come on board to give players exclusive opportunities to win a massive USD8,000 package to the 2008 PokerNews Cup Australia. Last year's PokerNews Cup awarded over $1.5 Million in prizes and welcomed over 1,500 poker enthusiasts from Asia, Europe and The Americas. Crown Casino played host and will once again be the premiere venue for this year's PokerNews Cup running October 12-20.

iPoker's Satellite Series will award winners with a USD8,000 package consisting of:

  • Entry to the Main Event (AUD2,200)
  • Entry to Event 1 (AUD 230) - 75k Guaranteed
  • 10 nights stay at the lavishly appointed Crown Promenade Hotel
  • Access to a private cruise with unlimited premium drinks on Melbourne city's main water feature - The Yarra River

The Satellite Series begins August 8 featuring Weekly Super Satellites running every Friday until September 26. Buy-in to the Super Satellite is available at $300+$20.

Satellite Series Structure

Stage 1

  • $50+$5 Freezeout - 1 seat for every $320 collected - Daily at 22:55 GMT
  • $40+$4 Rebuys/Add ons - 1 seat for every $320 collected - 15:50 GMT daily (except Tuesdays)
  • $10+$1 Rebuys/Add ons - 1 seat for every $320 collected - Daily at 12:55 GMT

Stage 2

  • $6+$0.60 Rebuys/Add ons - 1 seat for every $55 collected to the 22:55 GMT Stage 1 - Daily at 15:25 GMT & 18:35 GMT Turbo (except Fridays)
  • $5+$0.50 Rebuys/ Add ons - 1 seat for every $44 collected to the same day's 15:50 GMT Stage 1 - Daily at 12:00 GMT (except Saturdays)
  • $5+$0.50 Rebuys/ Add ons - 1 seat for every $44 collected to the next day's 15:50 GMT Stage 1 - Daily at 19:25 GMT

Sit-n-goes (Ongoing)

Stage 1

  • $64+$6 - 1 seat for every 5 players to the Weekly Super Satellite
  • $32+$3 - 1 seat for every 10 players to the Weekly Super Satellite

Stage 2

  • $5.50+$0.50 (10 players) to the 22:55 Stage 1 Satellite
  • $4.40+$0.40 (10 players) to the 15:50 Stage 1 Satellite
