The process begins with waste delivered to the Biosphere Chamber, being converted into clean combustible gas. This end-product is used to produce electricity in a combined cycle gas/steam turbine. Heat generated by the system can be used to produce electricity, superheat steam, heat boiler water, and distil/desalinate seawater. This proven technology can eliminate solid and liquid waste, reduce current landfill volume by about 95 percent; recover brown landfill site for development; generate 5 to 7 megawatts of continuous power/hour; distil up to 53,000 gallons of drinking water per unit per hour and produce inert ash to be sold to the commercial and industrial market.
