Chicago, IL (PRWEB) August 5, 2008
Argus™ software, the industry standard for commercial real estate financial analysis and valuation, was recently presented to a group of educators by Dale Vanderlaan, President of Realogic Analytics. Vanderlaan gave an Argus tutorial to a group of educators at the annual ARES (American Real Estate Society) meeting in Captiva Island, FL.
Many real estate programs at leading universities incorporate Argus training into their curriculum, while others provide optional non-credit courses. Use of the software in classrooms is growing. The goal of Vanderlaan's tutorial was to show the functionality and value of Argus in hopes that more university real estate programs would consider incorporating the software into their curriculum. Vanderlaan, an industry expert with over 20 years' experience, has provided Argus training to hundreds of industry experts and students.
"Argus training should be incorporated into every real estate program in the country. It's a tremendous tool for students who are just entering the field and for those that are experienced. It's used by the majority of owners and lenders, and having a handle on its capabilities is a huge advantage," Vanderlaan says.
Vanderlaan has used the software to model and provide valuations for thousands of building assets and portfolios. In addition, he is the primary Argus trainer for Realogic's university training program. He has traveled to universities around the country to introduce and teach undergraduate and graduate students the functionality and benefits of the software.
