As reported in many newspaper, radio, and television interviews and articles, the Mille's Italian Sausage concession is often the first and last stop of thousands of Fair-goers. Four generations of the Mille family have protected their secret-recipe for Italian sausage originally developed and refined by Italian immigrants Antonette and Amatore Mille. Mille's Italian Sausage, first introduced in 1932, is the longest-running food concession at the Wisconsin State Fair.

According to Amatore Mille, grandson of the founder, "For as long as I can remember, Fair-goers have asked if they can obtain Mille's Italian Sausage during the other fifty weeks of the year. We've always had to tell them it just isn't available. But now, for the first time in our long seventy-seven year history, we're finally able to change this and we are thrilled to make this announcement to our many loyal customers. Our grandparents and father always insisted on the use of only the finest of ingredients and we have enjoyed the reward of that commitment to quality. As a family owned and operated business, my brothers and sister and I are equally committed to this insistence on quality as we bring Mille's Italian Sausage to a broader, year-round retail market."
