LinkSprite introduces a class of UART/RS232/RS485 over powerline interface modules. With these new modules, the interconnection between devices with standard serial communication ports become incredibly simple and convenient through the existing electrical power line. The UART/RS232/RS485 interface module is designed to work seamlessly using power line simulating the physical cables that connect these serial communication ports.

Sensors, actutors, meters, inverters used in solar power or wind power, and other devices that usually need dedicated RS232/RS485 cables can be connected through their original standard communication ports via existing power line networks.

In a typically full loaded power network, the communication distance between each nodes can be 300 feet, the number of nodes on a network is around 62,000. All LinkSprite nodes has a smart repeater function built-in to extend the coverage.
