Bosom Buddies Rewards Donations in World Breastfeeding Week Celebration

Moms can support other breastfeeding moms this whole month by donating their gently used nursing bras at Bosom Buddies' stores. To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week and generate enthusiasm for donations, Bosom Buddies is offering special incentives to customers.

mother support in mind, Bosom Buddies is celebrating the event with an invitation to all women to donate their clean, gently used nursing bras for women in need. To add to the fun, Bosom Buddies is adding Bronze, Silver and Gold level discounts on purchases to those who donate bras.

Women's breast size changes more during pregnancy and breastfeeding than any other time in life. Being able to have good fitting bras during that time is an extra strain for women already struggling financially. The bras donated by moms no longer breastfeeding, or the bras that just don't fit any more, will make another mom's breastfeeding experience that much easier

To add to the celebration, Bosom Buddies will give a discount on any bras purchased at the time of donation: Bronze Discount of 10% off when 1 bra is donated; Silver Discount of 15% off when 2 bras are donated; and the Gold Discount of 20% off when 3 bras are donated. This discount-for-donation is also available for web customers with the purchase of a Try-the-Fit Kitâ„¢ online.

In addition, donation of a used double electric breastpump will also qualify for the Gold Discount of 20% off any bra purchase; or a Free Bosom Buddies' Buyers Advantage card on the purchase of a new qualifying breastpump. (Honoring the manufacturers' and the FDA's recommendations that breastpumps not be reused, donated pumps will be used for research.)

"For many of us, a week is hardly enough time to properly celebrate something this important, so our celebration (taking donations and offering discounts) will continue throughout the month of August," said Sue Petracek, lactation consultant and co-owner of Bosom Buddies with partner and breastfeeding supporter Ken Petracek.
