Boston University Corporate Education Center to Host Biannual Event

We are looking forward to the Summer Consortium meeting

The next biannual meeting of TEDS Consortium, a dynamic collaborative forum of human capital experts from over a dozen world-class companies, is set for August 13th and 14th. The meeting will be hosted by Boston University Corporate Education Center in Waltham, Massachusetts.

TEDS President and CEO, Joseph F. “Joe” Ellis will present an industry and company update along with TEDS’ strategic view for 2009 and beyond. Members of the TEDS Executive Staff will share a presentation on the next major release of TEDS’ Integrated Talent Management Software Suite, TEDS V.9.0.

A typical TEDS Consortium agenda includes a roadmap for future TEDS releases and fast track development, task team reports, success stories, key learnings, and “stretch topics” to engender thinking about workforce needs and solutions in the future. The TEDS Consortium is credited with many innovations in corporate learning and talent management business practices.

“We are looking forward to the Summer Consortium meeting,” said Mr. Ellis. “TEDS Consortium members are visionary in regard to best practices in performance management, competency management, corporate learning, and all aspects of workforce optimization. They know the critical importance of maximizing their company’s talent at all times, but especially during times of economic uncertainty. We expect our sharing sessions to be of exceptional value at this meeting.”

Founded in 1992, the TEDS Consortium is the only organization of its kind. It is dedicated to the continuous innovation and improvement of TEDS’ enterprise-wide talent management solutions. The Consortium plays an essential role in reviewing and upgrading product functionalities, recommending the creation of new talent management products and services, and accelerating product development. By previewing advances in TEDS talent management products, Consortium members can more effectively plan for upgrades and expansions within their enterprises. However, all organizations that use TEDS benefit from the Consortium's vision and recommendations.

Current Consortium Members include Boston University Corporate Education Center, Chrysler, Dominion Resources, Eastman Chemical, Norfolk Southern, Nortel, Sandia National Laboratories, Steelcase University, Verizon, and TEDS.

Attending this meeting will be representatives of State of Ohio’s Department of Job and Family Services, an organization that has begun the process for membership consideration in the Consortium.
