Working to provide customers with a "single source" for online tests to guide almost any pre-employment and career development decision, Pearson and eSkill today announced a strategic alliance to share content and offer their leading tests to each other's customers.

"Pearson’s goal is to simplify the assessment sourcing and administration process by bringing hard and technical skills content to our award-winning ability and personality test portfolio that includes the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal, Raven's Progressive Matrices, and Golden Personality Type Profiler. Pearson is the industry standard in the education and clinical markets and our sights are now on growing our employee assessment brand and presence. Through our partnership with eSkill, our customers now have a single point of contact for all their testing needs – from Microsoft Office applications, computer networking, web development, and other technical skills – to our best-selling ability and personality batteries," said Nathan Green, General Manager of Pearson Talent Assessment.

"eSkill's goal is to offer our customers true job-based knowledge testing, with self-customized tests that cover multiple skills for each job. We are very pleased that an international publisher of Pearson's status chose us to provide hard skill testing and training to its customers. Through this new partnership, we're making it easier for organizations to save time and money and reduce the possibility of hiring bias by giving the same pre-hiring ability, personality or skill assessment to every applicant. Test takers can log on from anywhere in the world and their results are made instantly available to employers. We're also giving employers a great set of development tools so employees know where to focus their training to take the next step in their careers," said Eric Friedman, President of eSkill Corporation.

According to, skills training has grown by over 400 percent since 2002 and personality and ability testing by 300 and 150 percent respectively.

Pearson Talent Assessment is a Pearson business with over 80 years of experience in the employee assessment field and a growing global presence with offices in seven countries. Its clients include half of the Fortune 500, expanding small businesses, and all organizations that make identifying talent and unlocking employee potential a top priority.

eSkill Corporation, founded in 2000, is a leading provider of Web-based skill testing to the Hiring and Training markets.
