Stanley Vidmar, a manufacturer of premium custom storage solutions for use in a wide range of industries, recently announced a partnership with Ban-Air™ Storage Systems, a worldwide supplier of pallet-based storage systems for military and government applications. The partnership further broadens Stanley Vidmar's market reach, advancing their leadership position in the made-to-order modular storage market.

Under the terms of the partnership, Ban-Air will be the exclusive distributor for Stanley Vidmar products in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Ban-Air will also market Stanley Vidmar products to United States government agencies in Europe through the General Services Administration (GSA) organization. In turn, Stanley Vidmar will become a distributor of Ban-Air products in North America.

"We're extremely pleased to partner with Ban-Air and offer Stanley Vidmar's products to an even broader market through distribution channels in the UK, Ireland, and Europe," said Jim Cannon, president of Stanley Engineered Storage Solutions. "Ban-Air's products are a great complement to our current product offerings, and we feel that this partnership will provide our customers abroad and in North America with an even greater selection of high-quality, modular storage systems that address a wide range of storage needs."

The Walsall, UK-based Ban-Air develops and delivers high-quality, adjustable pallet-based storage systems used to organize a wide range of parts, equipment, and stock. Like Stanley Vidmar's full selection of modular storage solutions, Ban-Air's adjustable racking systems take full advantage of vertical real estate to reorganize and optimize available workspace.

"This is an extremely exciting development for both Ban-Air and Stanley Vidmar," said Peter Gunn, president of Ban-Air Storage Systems. "Both brands are well known for their durability and flexibility, and the integration of the two product lines provides our customers with an even greater selection of solutions to help them increase efficiency and productivity."

Stanley Vidmar has been steadily broadening its product line and market reach, most recently with the 2007 acquisition of Innerspace Corporation. The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Innerspace designs and manufactures high-density storage solutions tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals.

Following the acquisition, Stanley Vidmar and Innerspace Corporation became part of Stanley Engineered Storage Solutions. The business unit was formed to oversee all of the Stanley Work's storage and workspace offerings, and related business development activities. Jim Cannon, who served as general manager of Stanley Vidmar, was named president of the new business unit.

"We are actively engaged in expanding our market," explained Cannon. "This relationship with Ban-Air is an ideal opportunity for us to provide a wide range of durable, efficient storage solutions to customers overseas."
