Impact Unlimited Wins The Business Marketing Association's ACE Award
Dayton, N.J. (PRWEB) August 8, 2008 -- Impact Unlimited, a leading provider of brand communications for events, meetings, and exhibits worldwide, has earned a Business Marketing Association of New York City ACE Award in the Best Client Solution Using Multimedia Category for a unique and interactive program created for sanofi-aventis. ACE Awards recognize the most prestigious creative campaigns in business-to-business marketing communications.
Impact received the honors for its innovative multimedia program for sanofi-aventis' XYZAL® (levocetirizine dihydrochloride) medication. Impact's program supported a campaign for this new prescription allergy medicine; established brand name recognition and personality; and attracted, engaged, retained and rewarded allergists and other medical professionals attending the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology in Grapevine, Texas in November 2007.
To boost these efforts, Impact created the XYZAL® Easel, a unique experience where physician attendees are seated at interactive kiosks designed to resemble an artist's easel. A vertically mounted plasma monitor acted as the canvas with a small hidden Web cam mounted on the top of the easel, coupled with special mouse emulation software, enabling the easel to track attendees' nose motions. As attendees moved their noses up, down, left, or right, their actions were translated into on-screen mouse movements, further reinforcing the product's focus as an allergy treatment.
The XYZAL® Easel experience was a two-fold program. The first part of the XYZAL® Easel experience was engaging the physician attendee in an interactive quiz consisting of a series of product education multiple-choice questions that they could answer by using vertical movements of their nose to direct the on-screen cursor to their answer choice. The second part invited the attendee to use their newfound nose-painting skills to create a work of art in the style of American abstract expressionist painter Jackson Pollock. Attendees' nose motions created a flourish of digital paint drips, pours and splatters on the easel, while a pause of their nose allowed the artist to change the color of the paint being used. The results of the program were one-of-a-kind, colorful works of art and a desirable branded takeaway. In addition, the program was extremely successful, with approximately 500 attendees participating in the XYZAL® Easel over the course of the three-day show.
