Delavar Congressional Campaign Gains Momentum

The Delavar for Congress campaign continues to expand its grass-roots reach and support. With new radio and upcoming television ads, the campaign is now broadcasting its message of traditional Republican values directly to all the voters in Washington's third congressional district.

Washougal, WA (PRWEB) August 8, 2008 -- The Delavar for Congress campaign continues to expand its grass-roots reach and support. With new radio and upcoming television ads, the campaign is now broadcasting its message of traditional Republican values directly to all the voters in Washington's third congressional district.

Katja Delavar, campaign manager for her husband, Michael, noted that the campaign has grown from fledgling grassroots support to a major force within southwest Washington. "The Delavar campaign had a presence at all seven county GOP conventions, as well as the state GOP convention, and garnered overwhelming support and acceptance from the attendees." Michael Delavar added, "Our message of low inflation, sound energy policies, an end to corporate subsidies, and strict constitutional government is the key, and it resonates deeply with Washingtonians. I am very encouraged by the amount of support that we have been receiving directly from the voters."

The Delavar campaign also has raised more in individual donations than all the other campaigns in the third district, including the incumbent Democrat Brian Baird. Michael Delavar said, "Even in a down economy, people recognize a winning message that is worth supporting. People respect the fact that I tell them where I stand on the issues." Mr. Delevar continued, "This is going to be a difficult year for many Republicans, but our successes demonstrate that we have a special campaign that is winning the hearts and minds of voters. When you stand up for the traditional Republican values that grassroots voters support, it is possible to make a difference in 2008. Michael Delavar is running as a conservative Republican against the pro-war incumbent Brian Baird (D). The Washington native champions lower taxes, an end to corporate subsidies, expanded energy exploration, and adherence to the Constitution. Mr. Delavar, a captain with Horizon Airlines, is on leave of absence from flying while he campaigns full-time. He lives in Washougal with his wife and two children.
