GPXS Mobile Service Manager to Add Enterprise iPhone Management -- Leads to Reduced Administrative Time and Support Costs

GPXS announces a multiplatform version of GPXS Mobile Service Manager (MSM) that will add enterprise-level management for Apple iPhones to its Blackberry® management platform. Multiplatform MSM, scheduled for release in Q3 2008, will provide a single point of control for enterprise-level management of a mixed model of iPhones and Blackberry handhelds.

Mountain View, CA, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (PRWEB) August 11, 2008 -- GPXS™, a leading global smartphone platform, solutions, services, and training provider, today announced a multiplatform version of GPXS Mobile Service Manager (MSM) that will add enterprise-level management for Apple iPhones to its widely deployed Blackberry® management platform. In addition, Multiplatform MSM will provide a single point of control for enterprise-level management of a mixed model of Apple iPhones and Research In Motion (RIM) Blackberry handhelds. Multiplatform MSM is scheduled for release in Q3 2008.

GPXS Multiplatform MSM will provide a missing level of management functionality that is holding back the enterprise-level deployment of Apple iPhones, according to industry critics and GPXS customers and prospects. GPXS MSM provides device activation and management; application deployment and versioning; and delegated administration and reporting for large enterprises that are increasingly using BlackBerry devices, and want to incorporate Apple iPhones into their IT infrastructure.

Multiplatform MSM will reduce the incremental costs and technical and process barriers associated with managing multiple, incompatible mobile infrastructures and will provide system administrators with a single console for the management of all the smartphones in their domain, independent of device type. This will dramatically reduce administrative time and support costs and improve end user services and satisfaction.

"GPXS is leveraging its deep experience in enterprise-level management to develop enhanced tools to manage iPhone device and application rollouts, consistent with corporate and IT policies," said Jerome H. Mol, CEO and Chairman of GPXS. "Further, we recognize the need to manage a variety of smartphones and wireless devices over time, and are developing innovative new technology to support global enterprises now and in the future."
