TextforFree announces the launch of global SMS services and worldwide free and premium membership services. Textforfree will begin a beta offering of this service with its partner mobile-sender.com on August 12, 2008 which will provide SMS services to over 760 carriers worldwide for premium members.

Textforfree, a leading provider of free computer to mobile SMS and texting services has begun offering free and premium membership services with initial support of over 760 cellular carriers. Textforfree's free and premium membership services in the US will allow users the ability to send 50 free messages a month using an SMS gateway. The free use of an SMS gateway differentiates Textforfree from other free internet based text messaging services which rely primarily on SMTP technology.

New membership services at Textforfree will enable members to send free text messages from the computer to a mobile phone and will allow members to archive previously sent text messages, schedule the timing of new messages, store contact information and arrange contacts into groups. Additionally, new services will support bulk messaging by allowing members to send everyone in a contact group a message with just one click.

The launch of the beta version of this product will be rolled out the partner site Mobile-Sender.com on the 12th of August and will be launched on the textforfree site on the 20th of August, 2008. Mr.Urmann, the founder of Textforfree, said that "We are excited to move Textforfree from an anonymous messaging system using SMTP to a membership based service and are looking forward to providing our users with best free text messaging service on the web." Commenting on the future Mr. Urmann said "The computer to mobile market is rapidly expanding and we see a huge need for a product that is able to allow users an easy means to transfer content between these devices….whether it is picture, videos, maps, greeting cards, or simple text messages and that's where we see Textforfree headed in the next year"
