INE for Windows one of iTrinegy's specialist emultion products has been selected as 2008 Best Products and Services Winner in Development Tools category by Network Products Guilde a Silicon Valley Communications publication.

iTrinegy, the Networked Application Performance Lifecycle Specialists announced today that Network Products Guide, a Silicon Valley Communications publication and a world leading publication on technologies and solutions has named INE for Windows a winner of the 2008 Best Products and Services Award. This respected annual award honors products and services that represent the rapidly changing needs and interests of the end-users of technology worldwide. As part of the tech-industry's leading global awards program, this year's Best Products and Services were nominated from all over the world.

INE for Windows is network emulator software that enables users to check how well an application will perform in non-LAN (WAN, Wireless LAN, 3G, Satellite, DSL etc.) environments before deployment on to the production network. INE for Windows allows users to recreate all the major conditions that can affect applications in the network such as latency (delay), jitter, available bandwidth, packet loss/error/reordering etc, and can be controlled asymmetrically or symmetrically. Using INE for Windows during development, testing, QA and pre-deployment will help reduce the typical cycle of fixes and code rewrites and improve the chances of success first time deployment. INE for Windows installs onto a Windows, XP, Vista or Windows Server system.

"Increased end-user awareness and ongoing advances in technology are helping shape better products and services." says Rake Narang, editor-in-chief, Network Products Guide. "INE for Windows is bringing improvements to application development as it allows software developers to see early in the product lifecycle how the application is going to perform in the target network and make code fixes and rewrites early rather than later when retrospective correction normally proves to be much more expensive.

"These awards go to the best technology products every year and we are honored that INE for Windows has gained the Network Products Guide Reader Trust." says Frank Puranik, Product Director, iTrinegy. "We developed INE for Windows as many of our clients wanted their developers to develop as though they were in the target environment without the need to wait for an available slot in the test lab schedule. Equally, it frees testers and QA specialists from having to work in the formal settings in the traditional test lab. From a network management perspective, no one wants to take a chance and introduce a new, untried application into a live network which is being used by mission-critical business processes. Using INE for Windows eliminates the risk of a new application affecting other networked programs. Furthermore, using INE for Windows early in the application development lifecycle can also help to spot network related performance issues and break the endless cycle of fixes and rewrites."
