EtQ, Inc. has introduced Web 2.0 features into the latest release of the EtQ Reliance Quality Management System (QMS).
Continually improved functionality and a user-friendly experience are key in today's dynamic business environment. Recognizing this need, EtQ has incorporated enhanced Web 2.0 features into the latest release of EtQ Reliance.
The goal of Web 2.0 is to enhance the user experience, improve productivity and in the case of EtQ, streamline quality operations. Some of the more dynamic features include the ability to search for information across all applications simultaneously. Results are displayed in a separate window, modeled after search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Also included in this release is the ability to look up keywords and external data using glossary-driven, "type-ahead" text. Users are able to type a few letters from the keyword directly in the EtQ field to find matching values without needing to open separate pop-up windows. Keyword fields can now be filled in using nothing but the keyboard, without using a mouse. This glossary-driven function dramatically increases the speed of data entry for EtQ Reliance users. In addition, EtQ has added other Web 2.0 features such as time-out dialogs for inactivity, enhanced calendar date picker and several other enhanced field elements within EtQ forms. Using these features, EtQ Reliance is able to provide increased productivity, while flattening the learning curve, and enabling rich content to be delivered to the user in real-time.
