Wi-Tronix®, LLC Systems Selected by CN For Retro-fit to GEVO Locomotives

Wi-Tronix®, LLC announced today that CN is expanding its deployment of Wi-Tronix's suite of locomotive remote monitoring solutions. CN is retrofitting all 35 of its GEVO locomotives delivered in 2006 with the Wi-Tronix system. With these 35 systems, the Wi-Tronix system will be deployed on the entire CN GEVO fleet of 90 locomotives. Wi-Tronix system provides CN with the benefits of ready access to locomotive on-board data, increased asset utilization, fuel conservation monitoring and improved fleet productivity. Since Wi Tronix was selected as CN's preferred remote monitoring solutions provider in 2007, over one hundred and eighty systems have been applied on CN's EMD SD70M-2, GE ES44DC and recently rebuilt GP38-2 locomotives.

Wi Tracker provides a full suite of indispensable tools such as: statistics on utilization, engine shut down and duty cycle, fuel monitoring using geo-fencing, locomotive fault and exception-based alerting, geo-mapping, and more. Additionally, CN will save countless hours of invaluable time using Wi DownloadER that provides remote access to download locomotive on-board data from any locomotive, anytime, anywhere. Wi-Tronix's array of mobile asset management tools, proven integration experience and customer service is being deployed to support CN's relentless business objectives aimed to increase fuel savings and maximize productivity.

The Wireless Processing Unit (Wi-PU) is being applied across all parts of CN's entire locomotive fleet, from the newest locomotive models to those with over 4 decades of service. CN's complete end-to-end solution includes onboard Wireless Processing Units (Wi PUs) and turnkey back-office hosting. The Wi-PU features seamless roaming between the US and Canada using both cellular and Wi Fi communications.
