Company's canned oxygen included in Olympians' care packages.

Minnesota-based Oxygen Plus (O+) is very excited to support the American Olympic athletes with its canned-oxygen products. More than 200 Olympians have received the company's handheld, portable canisters, which contain 90% pure, enriched oxygen and can deliver relief with just a few breaths. Supplemental oxygen has been proven to elevate athletic performance, improve cognitive functioning, and help combat the negative effects of air pollution.

"Elite athletes have long enjoyed the benefits from training with supplemental oxygen," says Kevin Berigan, president of O+. He adds, "All the Olympic athletes are understandably concerned about the air quality in Beijing and how it will impact their individual performance. We are happy to provide support with a product that not only aids recovery but also provides temporary relief from polluted air."

St. Paul, Minn.-based O+ got its start in 2005, when founder Christine Warren brought together a team of entrepreneurs, including a NASA engineer, the key designer behind Merrell footwear, an executive at advertising great Fallon, and a Best Buy business developer. After months of conceptualization, the O+ Stick was introduced nationally in fall 2006. The product can be found at exclusive venues across the nation--W Hotels, Canyon Ranch Spa at the Venetian, and the Bellagio in Las Vegas, to name a few. O+ is also featured at a number of luxury locations in the Twin Cities as well as online at target.com and amazon.com.

O+ offers three ways to get your oxygen: an Elevate pack, which comes with two canisters, that retails for $30.00 and delivers 80+ breaths per pack; the original O+ Stick, retailing for $6.99 with 40+ breaths each; and the O+ Mini, which retails for $5.00, providing about 20 breaths per can. All products are available in Peppermint, Pink Grapefruit and Natural aromas.
