Kenneth and Phyllis Ledet used to run a small cleaning business, but as they grew older, they found that it was more time consuming and decided it was time for a change. "We were really interested in something different, not really knowing what that might be," said Kenneth. Baton Rouge, LA (PRWEB) August 13, 2008 -- From there the Ledets founded www.PkaBooBaby.com, a site that provides gifts for newborns and young children. "We have a lot of nieces and nephews and there's always somebody who's expecting a baby," Phyllis said. "Looking online for baby gifts, I found there just wasn't a good selection of baby gifts. We thought that since we couldn't find quality baby gifts at reasonable prices, we thought 'Let's try unique baby gifts to offer.'"
Unlike most business owners, the Ledets put themselves in their customers' shoes when it comes to offering products.
"I'm not going to sell a product I wouldn't buy myself," said Phyllis. "We felt like we could do a good job with operating an online store and we hoped that customers would enjoy what we have to offer."
To keep up with the changing world of baby gifts, www.PkaBooBaby.com has launched a blog to accompany the site, www.BabyGiftProductsBlog.com. "We're going to use the blog to post information mostly on baby topics - information that parents, aunts, uncles and even babysitters can use. Helping children grow up healthy and happy," Phyllis explained.
As the site reaches its first year anniversary, the couple is planning on building another site that will specialize in leather apparel, though their focus will not lessen the quality of www.PkaBooBaby.com.
"Family is important to us," lamented Phyllis. And it shows all over the website that has something to offer the precious gift that is children.
