Sheridan, WY (PRWEB) August 14, 2008 -- Visionary Communications has completed introduction of a statewide Internet T1 service for Wyoming businesses. The new T1 product allows Visionary to blanket Wyoming with Business Internet, and can create private networks for businesses throughout the State.
Visionary combines T1 and data services from multiple phone companies in Wyoming and carries those connections to their network. According to Visionary, their approach is "technology agnostic" - they maximize the most modern equipment to combine Frame Relay, ATM and private-line services into a single business service. The statewide Internet T1 service maximizes those technologies.
"As our network has grown, we've not only discovered what technologies are the most reliable, we've found ways to reach further into rural areas," states Preston Schilling, who oversees Visionary's outside network. "Fourteen years of business in Wyoming means our customers get the experience with local service."
Schilling further describes the issue Wyoming businesses encounter as a rural hurdle - companies with the capabilities of Visionary are traditionally from out-of-state and don't have the relationships or first-hand knowledge of how telco services work in rural areas. Visionary has that local knowledge, which carries over into a quality of support for their business customers.
Business customers using Visionary services also benefit from redundancy the company has put in place. While a number of communities in Wyoming were affected by a fiber cut this Spring, Visionary remained in service by auto-routing the network traffic through Montana over their redundant connection to an Internet backbone they maintain in Billings. This is redundancy that Schilling says is "well-spent."
Visionary Communications is Wyoming's pioneering broadband provider, offering DSL in 18 Wyoming communities, and wireless broadband in 11 Wyoming communities.
