Consisting of a 2.4 miles swim, 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon run, the Ironman triathlon is widely considered the ultimate test of endurance, and the toughest one-day race in the world. Bower finished in a time of 11 hours and 27 minutes.
