Award-winning low fares airline Monarch is celebrating a record breaking month after carrying almost 460,000 passengers on scheduled flights in July 2008, the highest number of passengers carried in any one month.
The increase has been aided by the recent launch of new routes from Gatwick and Manchester to Larnaca (Cyprus) and from Gatwick to Menorca.

Overall, for both scheduled and charter services, Monarch carried a total of 826,815 passengers during July 2008.

2. Represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of seats available for passengers.
