Solution Tree excels at providing personal, relevant, and highly effective professional solutions for educators
Bloomington, IN (PRWEB) August 19, 2008
Solution Tree, a leading educational professional development company, welcomes Robert D. Clouse as publisher of the newly created Solution Tree Press. Mr. Clouse joins President Douglas Rife, with whom he worked at Corwin Press in the same capacity, and Director Gretchen Knapp.
During Mr. Clouse's tenure at Corwin Press, the company's revenue more than quadrupled. He signed and published some of education's most influential figures: Michael Fullan, Roland Barth, Robert Marzano, Douglas Reeves, Tom Guskey, Tom Sergiovanni and Art Costa, among others. In addition, Mr. Clouse headed acquisitions that brought Corwin Press hundreds of new titles and doubled the number of books published each year. He has published more than 500 research-based professional development titles. As vice president, Mr. Clouse contributed to global executive planning for international Sage Publications operations.
Mr. Clouse's contributions to Corwin's executive leadership earned the company some of the publishing industry's most coveted awards, including numerous Distinguished Achievement awards from the Association of Educational Publishers and Book of the Year awards from the National Staff Development Council, the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and Foreword magazine.
"Solution Tree excels at providing personal, relevant, and highly effective professional solutions for educators," states Mr. Clouse. "My goals as publisher are to further expand the publishing program and to more deeply integrate the publishing and professional solutions approaches within the organization. The launch of the newly created Solution Tree Press is the first step to our becoming an even more dynamic and robust full-service provider, and continuing to bring the best in research and practice to educators across the globe."
