Take a journey through the struggles and triumphs of life as a Christian in Tom Janicik's Your Gift of Grace ($16.99, paperback, 978-1-60647-146-3), a new release from Christian self-publisher Xulon Press. The book contains a unique collection of poems that reflect the author's deepening relationship with God. Accompanying each poem is an inspirational Biblical scripture and an opportunity for the reader to contemplate his or her own experiences and relationship with God.
During most of the author's life, he viewed religion as a social activity or routine with very little meaning or purpose. Not until his darkest hour of need did God connect directly to him, letting Janicik know He truly did exist. Says the author, "He instantaneously brought an overwhelming sense of joy during the saddest part of my life, when I began to realize my marriage of almost 10 years was headed for inevitable divorce. Since that time, He and I have continued to grow closer each and every day." Janicik's hope is that God will use this collection of poems to help minister to those who are suffering from major losses in life such as divorce, death of a family member or friend, terminal or chronic illness, depression, or job loss.
Janicik, a safety and health professional for the past 25 years, has written numerous technical publications. This is his first poetry publication, and the author has high hopes that his book will bring God great joy even after he leaves this world. "May He use these words to touch the hearts of those who know Him and especially those who don't know Him yet, drawing them ever closer to His almighty presence."
