FMF Global Law Group Dedicates Kimberly Fanning Chelini Fellowship

FMF Global Law Group announces the creation of a Fellowship to honor founding partner, Kimberly Fanning Chelini. Ms. Fanning Chelini died at age 46 in January 2008, after battle with cancer.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 17, 2008 -- FMF Global Law Group' s Managing Director Eric Chelini announced the formation of a University of Notre Dame Law School Fellowship in memory of Kimberly Fanning Chelini, attorney at law, who died January 23, 2008 as a result of advanced stages of cancer. Prior to her death, Kimberly was a highly respected immigration law attorney and practiced in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1993. The fellowship, which will benefit deserving students of the University of Notre Dame Law School, may be funded by individuals and corporations who remember Kimberly Fanning Chelini and her contributions to the immigration law community and her commitment to helping others. The fellowship has a live date of August 1, 2008.

"Establishing a fellowship in the name of Kimberly Fanning Chelini is something that Kimberly would approve. Kimberly's life was committed to helping others and with this fellowship, we have a very good opportunity to keep her memory and vision alive," said Eric Chelini.
"In addition, Kimberly enjoyed her time at the University of Notre Dame, even though she spent most of her time studying and working to support herself through law school. Working hard for what she believed in is testament to the type of person Kimberly was. She worked hard so that she could give. This fellowship will continue Kimberly's giving nature."

Donations will be made directly to the University of Notre Dame via the website http://www.kdfanningchelini.org. Each donation made to the fellowship will be match dollar per dollar by an anonymous donor. When the fellowship reaches $50,000, a qualified University of Notre Dame Law School student will be awarded the funds in order to assist the student in completing his or her studies.
