Five Former Thomson Reuters Executives Join PatentCafe

The newly expanded sales organization will leverage decades of top-level customer relationship management experience earned while representing Thomson's patent and pharmaceutical research solutions.

In April of 2008, David Schab joined PatentCafe as VP of Sales. While at Thomson Scientific, Mr. Schab was Director of Global Sales and Client Services, and developed Thomson Scientific's organizational sales model. Immediately prior to joining PatentCafe, Mr. Schab was National Director of Sales at Hoovers, a Dunn and Bradstreet company.

The new additions to the team include:

Jim Rothfuchs, Regional Sales Manager (North East US, Eastern Seaboard). While at Thomson, Mr. Rothfuchs was the Sales Manager, North & South America, Pharmaceutical / Chemistry Division. He has 15 years of executive level sales and management experience assisting companies deploy enterprise-level patent research and IP management solutions. In the past, he has been responsible for creating marketing campaigns and new product launches focused to the Intellectual Property industry.

Heather McNeice, Regional Sales Manager (Great Lakes & Eastern Central US). At Thomson Scientific, Ms. McNeice was New Business Development Manager for the West and Midwest Regions, Pharma/Chem Division. Starting at Delphion, she was with Delphion/Thomson for over 8 years, matching intellectual property customers with appropriate standard and custom solutions. Counted among her key accounts were "Top 10" pharmaceutical, biotech, life science, medical device, and oil & gas corporations, and multinational IP firms.

Richard Gilbreth, Regional Sales Manager (Western US). While at Thomson Reuters, Mr. Gilbreth was Sales Representative for the corporate group at Thomson Scientific, West Coast. His years of executive level sales experience focused on assisting law firms and corporations in deploying Derwent World Patents Index, ISI Web of Knowledge, and Thomson Pharma. Additionally, Mr. Gilbreth supported enterprise-level patent consulting for Aureka intellectual property management and analysis, and research and enterprise-level solutions for patent research and patent portfolio management. His clients included "Top 10" companies in the high technology, pharma semiconductor, hardware, software, medical device, research, aerospace, and defense industries, as well as the leading IP law firms.

Tad Crawford, Regional Sales Manager (Midwest US). While at Thomson, Mr. Crawford was the Territory Executive for the Midwest and West Coast region. He specialized in new business development and account management for West Coast pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech markets, as well as supporting IP law firms to Fortune 500 customers in configuring and deploying enterprise-wide intellectual property management solutions for portfolio management, prior art search, and litigation support. He supported "Top 10" clients in the pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, and oil and gas industries.
